Purpose

The Alliance will exist to provide a statewide organization for senior center professionals to advocate for senior centers, network and collaborate on common issues, share information, co-market initiatives, and provide for additional staff training and development. 

Related responsibilities will be to work in collaboration with the Senior Center Section of the NC Division of Aging & Adult Services, aid in the selection and support of a North Carolina delegate to the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC), and promote awareness of the National Institute of Senior Centers.

Membership

The membership of the organization is open to any and all staff members of senior centers in the state of North Carolina whose organizations are members of the NC Association on Aging (NCAOA).

Additional dues above and beyond those paid to the NCAOA will not be charged for membership in the Senior Center Alliance.

Ex-officio (non-voting) membership may be granted to individuals interested in the Alliance who are not directly employed by a North Carolina senior center.
